switching from frontpage
Hello
I designed my web site using frontpage
www.xttras.com

I would like to switch to use a different type of software besides frontpage
Is there any kind of software that is for free that I could edit my pages using my web files I already have saved with frontpage?
Thank You for any information.
Cindy

When frontpage creates a html page, it can be read by any web authoring program, and web browser (excluding compatability on certain things). I dont really see a real problem with switching over. You may want to tell us what type of program you want. From what i know there are two types of programs. These are ones that edit the html code (as well as check things like invalid links), and deisgn view type ones, which is why i like frontpage.

For your so called 'this function is disabled' right click thing, although it does pop up, the right click function still works on your website according to my browser. Id suggest your site needs to function in a percent of the page type way. That way when people resize their window, the rest of the website will move in conjunction with it.

A fair while ago i purchased a book called the web building handbook, and ill search the CD and see if you can search the internet and find these programs if you want. The CD does provide a good summary or web building programs.

You may as well have a look at the first page of the CD. You should extract it and then run it. If you try and run it from winzip, the pictures get all messed up.
