Arrow Free script for generating download link
Please tell me there is any free script available which generates the file link according to the IP address of the user or user dont able to downlond without coming to the website and clicking on the link (no direct link),

I tried stadtaus.com Counter centeer script but that only allows Save download popup window for any format and count the no. of downloads.

You could use a PHP page which automatically checks the refferer before letting the user download.

A little modification to this would do it:

Well if you want 100% protection against what is known as "hotlinking," you're going to have to set that up with your webhost.

The script above uses a system that hides the real file URL, thus making it hard to hotlink without counting the download. However, someone could still link to the "fake" address. To prevent this, you would need some refferer-checking code.

I'm sure there is someone with enough experience who would be willing to write it for you. (Maybe even me, if I can look it up real quick. )
