Embedding Music into page
Hi all,

I'm using a frameset in a site I'm working on now - with Dreamweaver MX.

In my main page I've a 10 second auido piece of music I want to embed into this when it's loaded.

I've tried Insert > Media > Plugin but Internet explorer prompts with an active x window every time it's loaded. I'd like to avoid this - for music just to play. I'm sure it's just a security feature within explorer, but I don't want my visitors to have to click it every time they visit. It's only playing once also - I'd like to loop it!

Is there any other way to embed a music file to play automatically when a page is loaded?

It's here when you enter the site:
http://www.aimaaeuropehq.com

Thanks in advance!

These are variations that work for me

<center><embed src="name.mid" Autostart=TRUE Width=144 Height=56
Loop=5></center>

MSIE

<bgsound src="url/cows.wav" loop=infinite>

Simpler

<embed src="url/cows.wav" Autostart=TRUE Width=200 Height=56 Loop=3></center>

<center><embed src="url/_HeyJoe.mid" Autostart=TRUE hidden=true Loop=1>

<HTML>
<BODY>
<FONT FACE="comic sans ms" SIZE="+3" COLOR="BLUE">
<CENTER> Thanks for the help N!<P>

<center><embed src="url/JimiHendrix_HeyJoe.mid" Autostart=TRUE Width=144 Height=56></center>

<bgsound src="url/uploads/JimiHendrix_HeyJoe.mid" loop=infinite>

I'll try this one... Does the code go after the body tag or before...?

<embed src="url/cows.wav" Autostart=TRUE Width=200 Height=56 Loop=3></center>

<center><embed src="url/_HeyJoe.mid" Autostart=TRUE hidden=true Loop=1>

Bearing in mind i want the uadio to autoplay and not be a button

Here's my code as it stands - without audio:

Any that work still give me a Active X window... not to mention a big quicktime icon where the code was entered...

I just need code that will play the small mp3 file without the viewer having to interact (including OK'ing an active x window)

The quicktime is due to the fact that YOU have quicktime on your computer. REMOVE its plugin if you dont like it.

Those without quicktime will have Windows Mediaplayer in the window.

Or you can host the file on googlevideos , or youtube.com they give the code to diaplay the sounds too.

OK - here the link it's after the splash page... (main link)
http://www.aimaaeuropehq.com

Doesn't work for me under firefox - just explorer (but I'd be happy with IE working as it's most common)

Can you guys post back then please! thanks!

I don't see any embed (for sound) code in the source on that page.
