Different way of loading images on a webpage?
Hello, if you go to a website, mostly when you see an image load it is from top to bottom.... is it possible to have the whole image there and have it load as blurry to clear? like on google earth? is there a code? how do you do it?
Thankyou

You can save JPG's as progressive or GIF's as interlaced for that. Not sure about browser compatibilty. they should work fine in any browser but I don't know if you're going to get the fade affect in all of them... additionally any one on broadband will not see it since they fade as they are downloading... pages are pretty are much instant on most broadband connections except some of the "barely broadband" DSL lines.

Try something like photoshop. When you "Save for web..." you can select what format you would like to save it in.

Also, if you "save as" and select "gif" an open pops up asking "normal or interlace".

That's just another way to do the same thing within Photoshop
