Question Making an image go away after time?
I was wondering if there was a way I could make an image go away after time. On my website I have a Guide section and beside the newest ones I have an image that says "new" and I was wondering if there was some type of code I could use to make that image go away after a certain period, so I won't have to go back in manually and remove all the images over time, and when I get more in that section.

the page can be found here: http://www.softhardware.net/guides.php

- Thanks

... Geez, is everyone is a cranky mood?

I was just wondering if there was a code, because it would be a lot of work when I start to add more guides.

Yea, just code the image in a PHP tag to not write to the screen after a certain date. It's pretty simple in ASP and I am sure it is just as simple in PHP.

Well, if I knew I wouldn't be asking, I'm sorry for sounding rude, but I'm getting pretty mad at Techguy over the last couple of posts. People in my other few posts I have made on here have been just very rude just like in post #2.

II don't know how to write the code this is why I'm asking if someone could perhaps explain or write me out an example.

PHP Code:
<?php
if(time() <= strtotime('September 12, 2006'))
  echo
'<img src="new.gif" />';
?>

But you could tell by his post that he was usng PHP and more than likely wanted to do it programatically. I personally don't think it was rude.

BTW Infinity, everyone here does this on a voluntary basis, no one is paid for helping you out.

I know but I expected that if someone was going to give me an answer it was going to be one that applied to the question I asked and would give me a straight answer.

I know it is a volutary thing, but if your going to volunteer, it would be a good idea to be helpful and not state the obvious.

What Brendan gave me is exactly what I wanted. Everytime he has ever helped me it has been a straight forward answer, and that is why I appreciate hte work he does on here.

But I do appreciate you guys reasponse. and Thank you for trying to help.
