OMG What a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone. I'm currently making two different websites with dreamweaver. One is about done and the other is about half. I used a template for the second one which uses all kinds of images to make the pagee, dividers etc. I am not using CSS I am doing it old school, using a template and going page for page. (this is all I know for now) Everything was going well and then all of a sudden I opened it one day and EVERY single image is broken in EVERY page. I had to do about 10 000 clicks to manually fix every single one. Needless to say this sucked. Its all fixed now (and backed up) but I really wonder what the bloody hell happened. It was fine one day and then the next..... well ...... I never moved any folders with images and each page is technically not connected to another. I could see one going bad, but all of them???? I was wondering if anyone could give me possibilities as to why this would happen. Basically the image address was screwed up on every page for every image. I wouldn't know how to do this in one shot even if I tried. Interestingly my other website which also resides in my documents is perfectly fine. I want to know if I somehow did this (I obviously did I think) and if so what did I do so I NEVER do this again..... ohh yeah my next site I will be using CSS fer sure thx in advance for any suggestions.

I dont have much experiance with Dreamweaver, or any other html editors as I do my coding by hand. But I do remember one time when I was using a html editor and when I would go to insert pics into the page, it would store them in a temp folder and not use the actual file itself. Then when I did a disk clean up, it deleted the images and all of the image address' were screwed up. Just a thought... Oh, and just a quick question. How were you linking to your image files. Like "C:\Documents and Settings\My Pics\imagename.gif" , or were you just dragging and dropping...?

nope
I am just using the link icon (folder beside the address to browse for location) on the bottom of dreamweaver.... I have all of the images in an image folder and link directly to them. I know that if I was to move the folder or say rename it that this might happen but this is not the case and none of the images or the folder have been altered or moved in any way. Quite bizarre I tell but I am still basically a beginner.... (damn it) lol I wonder if maybe I somehow activated some kind of CSS scheme or something but I know nothing about CSS really so I can't really say for sure. This is surely a newb mistake and I don't wanna play that game again.... cause I lost

Look at the code, look at the img src tags and check the location of your images
