Frontpage 2003 error message
I keep getting the following message when I try to save a web page. It eventually goes away, and even though the message pops up, it does appear to actually save the page.

"An error occurred accessing your Windows Sharepoint Services Site files. Authors - if authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for this server's web site. Webmasters - please see the server's application event log for more details."

The event log doesn't show anything....

There is probably some kind of FTP error. Do you have check-in/check-out enabled or any kind of file sharing?

I don't have check in/out enabled, as I am the only one authoring the website, and the server is set up as a file server, but the only things that are shared are the default admin shares.

I was under the impression that SharePoint is used with multiple authors...What exactly is it?

It is used with multiple authors, but when I installed IIS on the server, it insisted on installing the Sharepoint as well, so I let it. Other than this minor annoyance, everything else works fine.

Try searching through your site options or Sharepoint options to disable it.
