Online photo album (Dreamweaver) - It does'nt work anymore!
I have developed 19 photo albums on my website using dreamweaver 8's "build photo album" feature for a long time now. You select the command, select your source file of pictures, select the destination and hey presto it opens up fireworks and makes a photo album for you. You test in in dreamweaver and all looks great. Then you copy the pages, pictures and thumbnails onto your ftp site as you have done 19 other times before.

However - for this album I am doing right now I can paste all my files ont he server and access my new photo album. BUT! I can not see any thumbs instead I see a white box with a red cross where the thumbs should be. Then when I click on a thumb it says "oops! the page you are trying is not accessible"

I have re done the same procdure 3 times now and it still does not work. Can anyone advise why this might be??? I have plenty of webspace and just to prove it I have took down my biggest photo album so I could get these new pics up. Space on my server is not an option. Nor is bandwidth.

Any help is greatly appreciated

You are probably using local paths then to define where the images are coming from. Make sure that the links do not have anything like C:// or file:// in them.

You never want it to go to the desktop. You want a relative path, not an exact one.

e.g /images/pic.jpg instead of C://My Documents/My Sites/Site/images/pic.jpg
