Div to scroll horizontally when text goes over div width?
Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible for a div to automatically scroll in the horizontal direction when the text inside the div goes over the div width? I am aware of the CSS 'overflow: auto;' statement, but that doesn't really help, since if there is more text, it just simply creates a new line.

Here is the CSS for the div I am talking about:
HTML Code:
#sortpanel {
	position: absolute;
	border-bottom: 1px solid;
	border-color: 000000;
	background-image: url(images/sortpanelbg.png);
	width: 77%;
	height: 20px;
	top: 61px;
}
Thank you for your help!

Try:

white-space: nowrap;

Ah, thank you very much! Using both that and the auto overflow, it works perfectly. However the scrollbar is directly on top of the text. Is it possible to have the scrollbar on the bottom of the div (or change the div height only when a scrollbar is presenet)?

Thanks again!
