I need help please
I have had an online business for about two years and it has problems, one is some email addresses do not work, the user cannot login after joining, the other is missing script (php)on the home page, if you know how to solve these problems, please email me, thank you.

A website link would be nice.

Where are you hosting it?

Which script is missing?

I think we'll need the code to the login script, and make sure it's connecting to the database correctly.

If you're worried about the login script or something like that just use the private messaging system (PM). I can't speak for knight, but people usually prefer to reply by forum or PM.

I agree with Eriksrocks, I'm not the best at PHP, heck, I'm not even good! But together we usually do a good job.

Just place XXXXXXX's over the part you don't want us to see, and that should be fine.

There's a minimum post count or mimimum amount of time before you can use the PM system. Not sure which or how much but it's not a lot.

Just quoting from a PM I got (from tinam), hopefully this will put more information in the thread.

You can't really do much if you have a missing script. If it's a premade script that you downloaded I would just search again on the internet, otherwise if it is custom made you're either going to need to find it or rewrite it.

For the login system - do you have a database setup? Is it connecting to the db correctly? What happens if someone tries to login?

you are not a kind person, I could say more..
what you did was disrespectful, I wanted that message to be private, and you knew it, what did you gain by doing that?

Excuse me, I'm sorry, but you never mentioned that you wanted it to be private, and I didn't know.

Knight requested earlier...

I'm sorry if I offended you, but usually people want to broadcast their sites, not keep them private. All of us can work together if we know your site URL, host, etc.

If everybody has the information, it works a lot better, more people can contribute, etc. As I said:

I'm sorry if it offended you in any way, and I removed the information from the post.

Would you mind if you or I also PMed knight so we can work together on this?

Now with covert gone the frequently available PHP knowledge is decreasing.
Time to pull out that old PHP book and read it from cover to cover.

She already PM'd me. I'm pretty sure that the email problem can be fixed easily. But it's going to be very hard to locate the missing PHP file, that is also probably preventing the users from logging in. I told her it would be best to contact the people that developed the website.

As for the email, login to your webhosts control panel, and click on email, make sure everything is set up correctly. Are you using forwarding? Or is your email actually hosted with the web host?

I know you gave me your login/password to your host, but I would feel more comftrable with you doing it. I wouldn't want to mess anything up.
