avitar problem on my forum
I just opened a forum and Im having problems with avitars no one can upload so I have it turned off untill its solved. heres the error.

No not really.


lexmarks567, make sure you have chmoded the avatar folder to 777

where is that located You might have to help

Do you access your site via FTP, if you do, connect to your site, find the avatar folder in your forum folder, it should be in images. and right click the avatar folder, click on properties, or permissions, and change it to 777.

forget it I give up I have no idea what FTP is Theres no folder I have no idea what to do it must be a script error which is beyond My experience. Im going to have to get somebody who knows how to access this stuff to fix it When I create a forum I expect things to work from the start

Alright this is very annoying. I found change files went to it clicked on image clicked change permission entered 777 but it still don't work and it keeps going back to 755 I give up

Ok I contacted my hosting provided see if they respond.

Sense I already had that tree trimming site theres a part in members profile and it said install your free forum so I did and all I had to do was add my forum topics.

UPDATE I have sense contacted the webhosting has it turns out its there problem as its not holding the settings.its been 24 hours no response so I sent it again if no reponse I may be looking at switching companys
