Getting started with a web server
I want to get a web server for my web development company, but I have no idea how to do anything with web servers (hosting websites, hosting files, etc). Is there a good website or book I could look at that could explain this kind of stuff in detail?

If you are looking into Linux based hosting, then I recommend that you take look at the following:

Re
Are PHP and MySQL possible on a windows server?
If so, are there some pages on windows server setup?

Linux or windows?

There are some good all-in-one packages which have apache, mysql, php, and more bundled together.

I have the two most known bundles in my siq, appservnetwork (appserv) and apachefriends (xampp); appserv is more simple but not very secure, while xammp is more secure and comes with other features; such as am ftp server.
