I'm confused?? Do you want to run your own web design business, or do you want to make a website for your business?

If you want to be a web designer, you've got a lot to learn. I would either take a college course, or google for some HTML and CSS tutorials to begin with. Either way is good - I'm self taught and own my own web design business, but not everyone is able to self-teach and can need the motivation of a tutor to help them along.

However, if you want to make a web site for a business then you still have a lot to learn, and your time may be better spent hiring a web designer and concentrating on your business instead.
