Unhappy Web hosting advice needed!
Hi I'm new....I currently have web hosting through a small company of which I am a reseller as I have 15 web sites I have designed and maintain. The sites are always up and I have great service. Each site is 400 meg in size with 20 gig of uploads per month and unlimited emails ect. It costs me over $1000 canadian a year for the package. Recently I recieved a phone call from "godaddy" and the guy on the phone was telling me he could give me 75000 meg of shared space for $100 a year and that I could put as many domains on the space as I wish! He also said that the main domain would not show in the browser link, only the site name its self. I don't know alot about the hosting part but I could stand to make alot more money if this is so. The guy on the phone said "so when can we switch you over?" . I'm at a loss...... Is this possible and if so why do some host do it and not others.....any advice or explanation would be greatly appreciated, cause I dunno what to do! thanks ....c00ter

I looked at Godaddy's website and I can't determine if they have a plan like they quoted you.

As far as reseller hosting in general, When you say you have 15 websites each at 400 megs and 20gb of bandwidth is this how much each one actually uses a month or how much they are allowed to use? That would make a big difference on how to proceed in getting a host. I know with my reseller account I have x amount of bandwidth and space I can use for a specific price per month and it's a heck of a lot less then $1000 a year (in USD, not CSD). You might want to look around to find a reliable host which provides a reseller account and not a reseller program.

I never came across anything like that on godaddy!

and that is the first ever i have heard of godaddy ever ringing anyone with an offer!

I am runniing a reseller service myself, and i offer almost that for free with as many accounts as you wish!
