Evaluating a web page's visual confusion
Ok, you've just designed your web page, maybe even paid for it. But, it has a problem that you just can't put your finger on that leaves your customers confused - clutter.

Here are a couple of links to a new tool that evaluates visual clutter on a web page from MIT. The tool can be downloaded for free (link to tool download in 2nd article).

CNet News article: MIT software measures clutter.

MIT News article: MIT's 'clutter detector' could cut confusion.

Download tool: here.

Note1: On the download web page there is an advisory that there are two lines of code documented in the paper not included in the download. Read the paper and incorporate the two lines into the code to get a fully functional software,

Note2: Since the code is MATLAB code, I assume that MATLAB is the tool that you need to run this code. (MATLAB is a tool from MathWorks). MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numerical ...

P.S. I have no connection or relationship with either MIT or MathWorks.
