Backing up a web server consisting of 97 directories via FTP?
So I've got this webserver with 97 domains in it. When I login to my DIY account (horrible host btw, that's why i'm moving the files to a new host) I see my 5 or 8 domains or so, and then the rest of the 89, 90 are subdomains. All the domains and subdomains contain a large amount of files....some from 10-20mb, to 50-60mb in others. (about 3-4 gigs total)

Is there a program that I can buy that will index what needs to be downloaded, download the files, then check againts the index to make sure all files have been downloaded correctly?

I tried using FileZilla, but some directories are empty. It grabbed all the directories within directories, just no files. I don't know how since it told me all files were transfered successfully, but nope....it's having trouble.

Any help would be great!!

I do not currently have shell access with DIY and their customer support is SO poor that when I call they just made a support ticket and then they never call me back. So I don't even know how to get their horrible servicemen to give me shell access.

I have a majority of the websites on a linux server. I also have another 15 sites on a windows server.

I'm mostly worried about the linux box since that has a majority of the sites on there. I can manually download 15 sites...but trying to manually download 97 would be a task that would take up too much time.

Maybe you can use a tool like wget to download the sites to your machine.

Peace...
