Hi everyone, im having trouble with slices that are created in fireworks 2004.

What im aiming to achieve is a top header, or nav bar. i need it to be able to stretch widths within different screen setups. I can do this easy enough by creating three images, left, centre and right. The left and right are at fixed widths and the centre image is 1px wide but will repeat itself to fill the gap between the two.

All this works fine, but i have now changed the left image to include links that i have put in using fireworks slices. I have exported the new image and html as 'single table - no spaces'. In its own right it displays fine, but as soon as i butt my center and right image next to it it goes out of alignment. It appears that the slices are moving upwards, pushing the two other images down.

any ideas would be great

yes of course, i have changed the way that i export the fireworks html and now everything lines up ok, except that there now is a 4px whitespace between the center img and the right img. This only appears when the new left img with the slices are added to the header, so im assumming the slices are effecting something.
