Updating my site on IE
Hi and thanks to all who take the time out to view my post. My problem persists because I need to update my company's website but I don't know what server its on. I have recently purchased and have been using Expression Web to create a new web site but (tell me if I'm wrong) I can't do this without knowing the server in which our account is available. All i was given was a username and a password, so unless I can right click on something or use something in the taskbar I think I'm stuck. Is there anyway for me to trace the server or update my site with just this username and password I was given? Or do I have to retrace the steps myself? Thank you again!

The question is what do the username and password go to? Is it for ftp access or a control panel. If it's ftp access you just need to upload your new files.

If you are running windows it's as easy as opening my computer and typing ftp://www.yourwebsite.com and hitting enter. There are better ftp programs available, but that will get you going.

If it's for a control panel you need to find out the url for the control panel.
