Solved: Help
OK-this sounds crazy BUT.....I was re-building my company's web site. I use Yahoo site builder. I spent 8 hours and when I was ready to publish I changed the original home page's name and named the new one index.html. (Thats the name you must use) When I tried to publish it said I didnt have a homepage anymore.....Somehow all my files got lost or damaged. I had to import my website back to my computer but even then I am missing pages. This is the weird thing...While I am working on it I can press the F12 key and preview it in my Explorer. It is still there-the new site I built Its not online but I have the whole site in my browser. What is up with that? Is it somewhere on my computer to allow me to view it? I don't know what to do. My original website is still online and in tact-which is a good thing. But until I fix all this I cant update anything because old files will get published. This is so weird....help

In the browser check the links to all the pages in case they have been moved to another directory. To recover your missing pages you can just open up the page in your browser and go to View --> Source. Then you can save the HTML as the correct file name and upload it. I hope that solves your problem.

I had already done that and saved all the HTML from all the pages on my note pad. But now I don't know how to get it all back on line in my site....I should have just used front page or dream weaver I guess....This yahoo site builder makes its so easy though. I will get it figured out eventually-it's just so time consuming. Thank you for your response

So is your problem that the site isn't on the internet? What method are you using to upload it?
