Problem with my Frames and this is a First
Ok i have been doing Website for a good while now. And just recently I set up my website for a dual frame at the bottom. To hold my media player on the left and my News update on the right. Well when I goto my Music Section for my website I click on a link to play my music and and it will direct it to the correct frame. But If I am cruising through the pages of my Site then go back to the music section and click something else it will open it in a new tab. I have to completely exit Firefox then reopen it to get it to work again. And again it will open into a new tab after browsing the site. Please Help!!!

Im using Firefox 3.0 Beta 5 and this is the first real problem i have encountered with it.....

The Website is http://www.mi6gaming.com

Now I dont know if im the only one that has the problem or not!

Thank you in advance for any ideas you all have!

I'm running Firefox 3b5 on Windows XP and couldn't recreate your issue. Perhaps if you post a step-by-step procedure to follow to recreate the problem, others will be able to confirm it more easily or readily.

Since Firefox 3 is still in beta, you can't expect it to function the same as a GA (generally available) release. So, I wouldn't worry too much about this until Firefox 3 is GA.

Peace...

I asked a friend to test it and he couldnt either. Im not sure Why I would be the only one with the problem. It Worked perfectly in IE6 So maybe you are correct that it is a Beta problem. The only step by step I did was goto the main page. Goto Music select a song to play and it works, then go to Forums, Then back to Main then Music and select another song and it would open it into a new tab.

If noone has the same issue then i will conclude that it is a beta issue with Firefox!

Thanks for trying to help me out!

I just followed your procedure (thanks for posting it ) and it worked just fine for me, no new tabs opened. Again, I'm also running Firefox 3b5 so I'm not sure why your installation exhibits the problem and mine doesn't.

Still, I would wait for Firefox 3 GA to come out before worrying about the behavior you're encountering at all.

Peace...

Do you think my Code could be causing a problem? I made it a bit different. And I also noticed that Some of the Flash Video's and Menu for the site would work for some and not for others. I had to add certain coding to the SWF Files to get them to work for everyone. It just seems odd.

Don't know, it could be. We'll find out when Firefox 3 GA comes out. In the meantime, how does the site behave in Firefox 2, Opera, Safari, and IE6/7?

Peace...
