Displays some pages but not all of them
I have designed a new website using FrontPage 2002 for work. I replaced the old one with the one I designed. Some of the pages will appear from the home page & some won't. I can get to all of them by going to them from other pages. The last icon does not show right either. When I go into the website from the PC with Frontpage it works fine. If I go to a different PC & try, it will not. The website is www.hillcrestnh.org IF anybody can help, it would be much appreciated. THX, R.Fritz

The problem is your navigation menu has references to LOCAL files on your computer. Here is an example:

Code:
<a href="file:///Y:/renfri/Website/features.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/features%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="file:///Y:/renfri/Website/departments.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/dept%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="employment.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/employ%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="photo%20tour.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/photo%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="file:///Y:/renfri/Website/Photos.htm"><map name="FPMap0">
<area href="file:///Y:/renfri/Website/Foundation.htm" shape="rect" coords="16, 0, 78, 20"></map>
Change the above bold entries to this:
Code:
<a href="features.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/features%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="departments.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/dept%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="employment.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/employ%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="photo%20tour.htm"><img border="0" src="http://hillcrestnh.org/images/photo%20button.gif" width="80" height="21"></a><a href="Photos.htm"><map name="FPMap0">
<area href="Foundation.htm" shape="rect" coords="16, 0, 78, 20"></map>
Also, you should REALLY scale the photos on the site to be the displayed size. This will help the photos to load much faster and will reduce bandwidth usage by the site. Attached is a scaled version of the image on the home page.

Peace...

Thanks for the help. That fixed it. What do you mean by scale the photos? I couldn't find anything in help for Frontpage.

Frontpage won't help you. You'll need an image manipulation tool and there are many freely available.

Take the photo on the home page. The actual size of the photo is 1280x960 yet the displayed size is 437x245 (which isn't the correct dimensions but that's another issue).

The file size of that image is 325kb when the scaled down version of the image I posted above is only 41kb. The image I posted is the same size as the image displayed on your site (except mine has the correct dimensions) and is 1/8th the file size. This means my photo will load faster, appear the same on the page, and will save you bandwidth usage.

The main reason to scale the images to the sizes you want displayed on the site is to improve page loading speed for those viewing the site.

Do a Google search for "image scaling program" to get some program suggestions. IrfanView is one app to try out. Here is another one. You should be able to find a free app to do what you need.

Peace...
