Exclamation Solved: My website causing browser problems..is that possible?
I am in a gaming league and I have taken over our custom league website designing and have been doing it for over a year. I have had great success with each one until now....I think. When I was creating it I would have Frontpage open, FTP open and internet open (to view in browser) and I just posted my new site on Sunday and during all this I have had nothing but problems. While the site is up, for maybe only 10 minutes, all of a sudden everything starts flashing, IE 7 goes all whacky, the screen turns partially black (as it's all flashing) and it ends with me blindly finding the close button, then the close all tabs button. My Windows task bar down bottom also 1/2 disappears. Seems very conincidental that this started happening with the design of my new site, however, all I did was take my previous site and change the pictures and colors and made some minor changes. I understand HTML and the only changes I made were basic codes. If I pull up my previous site in browser, i have no problems whatsoever....only the new site. Can someone please tell me if it's at all possible that a single website can cause this kind of chaos? My connection is Direcway (Hughesnet) Satellite. I run Windows XP Home 2002, IE7. If you need more details or want to see the sources of either my previous or present site, plz let me know. I'm desperate for some help here, this is so frustrating. Thank you!

It could be the site, if you've got Javascript or another client-side scripting language running on your site that crashes IE. Have you tried it on another computer and can you post the link?

Well I do have a Dynamic Drive script on the site, however it's the same as I have running from the original site I made, like I said I use my original site as a template, and just change colors, pics etc to different themes as seasons change etc., so to my knowledge I haven't interfered with the script. I have asked several other people now if they are having any problems with the site and so far noone has had anything go wrong. Since I have posted this question I cleaned out my computer, including my Java temps ans such, and the problem seems to be less frequent, however still occurring. Must be coincidence? http://www.kioskorner.com/underwatersite.htm Thanks for your reply.

The template site, which I have absolutely no problems with is http://www.kioskorner.com/balloonsite.htm You will see there are definite changes between the 2 sites, but like I said, it's simple coding, tables and stuff, nothing major.

I don't have the right plugin (and FireFox won't download it)

I don't have any problems, so it's likely that it's the dynamic script that's causing it. Maybe someone else who has the plugin can look at it.

It was in fact a Javascript causing the problems...I removed it and everything fine now.
