Hello,

Please can someone tell me how I can get information submitted on a form on my webpage emailed to me?

I can write the code to make the form appear, I just want the enquiries to then be sent to my email address. What I don't want is to use the mailto command, as I don't want my email address to appear on the page in question.

Do I need a separate piece of software? I've Googled this but I can't find any results that I properly understand.

Every time I've done something like this I've gone the route of changing the page from html to php.

Then you set it up so that the page your form posts to parses the data and then uses php mailer functions (I really like phpmailer) to then email the information to you. This way the poster wont see your email address.

Yep, you'll need a server-side form processing script. There are many free scripts available and a Google search on "free HTML form processor" should yield some great results.

You can also search this forum for previous discussion on HTML forms for more ideas on scripts to use. Everyone here knows I'm a fan of FormMail.

You might want to try this form generator. It generates the HTML along with the PHP or ASP, whichever you are using. You could customize it to your needs from there.
