Page is fine in IE7 but not in Firefox
Bizarrely everything looks as it should in IE7 but not Firefox. Its usuall the other way round!

Ive got a nav-bar at the top of my page which in IE7 moves with the page so the links are available no matter how far down the page you go (not my choice btw). I set a background colour of black for it to match the header image so it kinda detachs from the top and moves. No probs here in IE7 but in Firefox the black background colour just does not show up. It's very odd indeed and I cant for the life of me fathom out how to get it working.

Ive attached what happens in each browser.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, your navigation menu is in a fixed DIV, so it's not moving when you scroll the page. The page is moving underneath the DIV.

Try changing the #masthead style like this:
Code:
#masthead {
	position: fixed;
	width: 760px;
	/*height: 34px;*/
	height: 50px;
	overflow: visible;
	border: 1px solid blue;
	background-color: #000000;
	}
Keep the border so you can see the actual dimensions of the #masthead DIV. In fact, you should add the border BEFORE changing the height so you can see how the #masthead DIV is laying out. Then, adjust the height as appropriate across browsers.

I viewed your page in Opera 9.51 on Windows XP and it behaved as you described above. Given your XHTML DOCTYPE, I'm thinking Firefox is ahering to the standards more strictly than IE7, which is why it works in IE7.

Try the above and let me know if it works.

Peace...
