I have a dilemma. I'm making my first CMS-based site for a sports club I'm involved with at uni. My test builds all worked fine and I finally found a CMS system I liked/understood, which was WebsiteBaker.

Problem is, the current website is hosted on the Union server which uses, don't ask me why, MS SQL...

I can't find a CMS program that supports MS SQL. Can anyone help?

(And yes I know I can have it hosted elsewhere, but I'd rather save the effort if possible)

I don't know of any, presumably you have tried Google and Hot Scripts? If there are none there then I expect that you will have to get your own hosting package that supports MySQL there are plenty around at $4 or less a month if you want to run CMS.

Previous searches found nothing. Did some more today and found this:

Which says that dotCMS (Java) and Umbraco (Asp.Net) support it.

As anyone here ever used either? I'm gonna muck about with them none the less.

Also, how good is Wordpress for building a full site, i.e. not just a blog?

If I were you, I would try and get a mysql database, just gives you so many more options. Is that a choice?
