Firefox 3 seems pretty good to me. It claims faster browsing than its previous incarnation, which i havent noticed but its deffo faster than IEx. Most of its innovative features have now been adopted by IE8.

Firefox is just better IMHO - and isnt a Microsoft product.

Several people here are using Firefox 3. Either click the "firefox 3" link in the tag cloud or look in the "web & email" forum for Firefox 3 discussion.

I also use Opera 9.51 and Safari 3.1.2 (on Windows XP).

Peace...

I have Opera, Safari, IE and Firefox 3 on my pc. Of these I like FF3 the most. Main advantage of updating to FF3 is that it now can remember the last tabs opened when you close the browser. Then when you open a new session, it opens to those pages. I like it. Some addons are not yet supported.

Opera 9.5 has a neat feature where you can click the trash can in the upper right hand corner of the browser window to bring back tabs you closed, if necessary.

Peace...

Firefox 2 had that feature

As with the others, I've used all the major browsers and whilst Opera is technically the 'best' browser, I just prefer Firefox. And v3, being the newest version, is also the best version. As with all stable releases of a browser, you're a fool not to update.

Sort of. With Opera, you can retore closed tabs from a list of the last 5 tabs that it maintains, not just the last tab you closed.

I've been using Opera more with version 9.5 than with previous versions. I tend to use Firefox 3 the most but I'm really digging Opera 9.5.

As for upgrading to FF3, a lot of people are having problems with it, just as a lot are having problems with Opera 9.5. Firefox 3.0.1 is right around the corner and Opera 9.51 is already out, with 9.52 in beta now. I think in the next couple of months the dust will settle and more people will migrate to the latest versions of both browsers (as appropriate).

Peace...

I used to use IE but I am now a pure Firefox user. I made the switch from Firefox 2 to Firefox 3 on the first day of release and have not even thought about going back. Firefox 3 is great, IE is just trying to copy it.

Apparently, so did Opera 8. Here I was "stressing" over accidentally closing tabs unnecessarily.

Peace...
