One click Audio on Web Site
Hi there

I am busy re designing my Web Site. I am an Independant Producer working primarily in Audio. I am wanting to put a number of Audio samples on my site. I have previously done this but have always had a flash player through which the samples were played. I am wanted to minimalize the look of my site and am wanting to place the Audio as uncomplicated as possible. This is my idea..... I simply want the Title of the Audio clip with a button to the right of it which the viewer will click in order to hear the Audio - no fancy player or playlist etc - just a simple button that will trigger the Audio. Do you perhaps have any ideas for me? Naturally 'free' is better than 'cheap' so I would prefer if it were Freeware or Open Source.

Thanks
gary

Well I could research it a little more, however, sounds like javascript would be your best bet. There are a lot of different codes out there, so if you do a search for "javascript audio player" and maybe add "mini" or a few similar codes, maybe that will find you something.

That is otherwise exactly how I would go about what you are looking for.

You could attempt to use embed, but as I myself have found, it is going to be different depending on what plugin/extentions the user has for the browser they are using. My firefox, for example, pulls up a quicktime. IE bring up media player. You can play around with it by checking out:
