Help with creating web portal
I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction for creating a web portal to bring together information from all my websites.

What I'm looking to do is to create a central point where customers/browsers can go to see information, news, updates etc from all my (small) company websites.

The things I want to bring together include:
  • Visible links to all my sites (7 business-related websites and 5 or so social networking sites)
  • Twitter updates (from 1 or possibly 2 Twitter accounts)
  • Blog updates (from 1 or more different blogs)
  • Updated content from a school website
  • Updated content from facebook (1 personal and 1 business page)
  • Possible log-in area where users can see more information like photo albums, alternative information, etc.
  • An active forum (simple machines)
I currently am using Joomla, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to go. I am having trouble figuring out a way to put everything simply on one page like a regular portal.

Any ideas, or a shove in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thank you.
