Question .rss vs rss.php
http://9lessons.blogspot.com/2009/03...-with-php.html

i have a feed.rss file on my site or whatever my rss feed its valid etc...
but its hard to update because i have to manually add to it.
i dont want to use any other sites i want to do it myself just not manually.

so that site link above shows how to make an rss feed with php but i dont know about that because is it the same as an .rss?
can people still subscribe to it like regualr rss cause the one is RSS.PHP(file ending is .php NOT .rss)
if i change to that rss.php way are people going to have problems getting the feed and like subscrbing to the feed etc cause its not .rss

does anyone know anyhting about .rss vs rss.php or what cause i dont thats why im asking

See the part in the code that says: header("Content-type: text/xml");
That tells the server to parse the file as an xml file, thus there shouldn't be a problem. RSS readers will read the file as if it's any other xml file (RSS feeds are xml files)
