Simple & True Date Script
I have been trying a few different ideas in html & java for writing the date at the top of my website, but it bases its date off the computer you are accessing the internet from, what im wondering is can i set up a date script that checks with my server or something ?

Need to know what Web Server and OS you are running.
I did this years ago in Linux on Apache.
I would have to research it for anything else.

PHP will get you the server time and then you need to guess the visitors location from their url and add the time difference to the server time to get their location time.

I remember how I did this now. I used server side includes. In order to do this, the server has to be configured to allow SSI. GoDaddy may or may not allow that.

as to colin, i took a easier path im too lazy to do all that i just keep Sever Time (EST Time Zone) : 5:50PM, plus a small number of people use web tunneling and that would throw there's off, i'd rather know its the same for everybody

and now that i say that... i wonder if maby i should be doing things your way actually.. hmm... grr... i hate being in design stage
