Permissions problem with php script
Hope someone can help. I've set a directory on a website to 777 to allow a php script to create pages, but there still seems to be some permission problems. The pages created should "include" a menu page, but this is not happening. And when I try to download the page to try and find out what's wrong, I can't - I'm told there's a permission problem.

Is apache (or whatever you're using as a webserver) configured to serve pages from that directory?

How does the include work? What's it supposed to do?

Er... didn't know it had to be configured to serve pages from specific directories... How do I check that? The 'include' is supposed to bring in a menu bar from outside the directory (i.e. one level up).

How you check it depends on which server you're using.

For apache, you configure directories with the <directory> directive.
