Solved: A new programming languge from google
Hi

Google has just launched their new programming language called GO. what do you guys think? Is it going to last long ? just out of curiosity, How logn would PHP last?

comparing Go with a language like PHP is completely unfair, as they deal with entirely different areas. PHP is a scripting languages meant almost exclusively for creating web frameworks and applications, whereas Go is meant to be a systems programming language. Any popularity Go gains will have little to no effect on PHP, ASP, python, and ruby, as it is a compiled language meant for real programs, not a scripting language for high access web services.

I know Go has no affect on PHP. But I'm just asking how long will PHP last ?
