What is the best webpage counter?
I am trying to figure out what is the best webpage counter so I can see how many people visit my website. I like to know where they come from and if they are frequent visitors. I use google analytics but don't feel like it give me totally accurate information( maybe it does). But I was hoping for a free program that was easy to use.

Thank you in advance,
Rob

I have used this in the past on simple websites, i built for people
http://www.statcounter.com/
works OK - possibly not the best, and the free version does not keep a lot of history
And doesnt matter where hosted

I took a look at awstats and it looks pretty intuitive. I don't know anything about apache servers nor do I run my own server.
Thanks,
Rob

My vote is Google Analytics. Adding a little script at the bottom of the page starts collecting a lot of data, then when ready they have advanced features you can take advantage of (like segmentation, custom variables, multivariate testing, etc.)
