recipe website/blogg
Hi , I have a couple of queries I hope some people may be able to assist me with. Firstly I would like to know the difference between a website and a blogg?

I have alot of recipes of my own that I have accumulated over the years and they are on paper ,books just about everywhere but all on paper. I was thinking about making/creating/getting (whichever is easiest) my own recipe website. I would like visitors to be able to comments on the website and comments on recipes they have tried or maybe have questions about.
How can I go about doing this I have never done anything like this before?
thanks

A website is a collection of web pages on the internet, a blog is a website containing regular entries from one or more people about their life or things that interest them. If you want to create a website for your recipes, you can find a lot of free templates online, which can then be hosted either for free or paid for.

A quick Google search seems to return a few websites with free templates. If you want to create a fully personal site, you could always create your own which would enable you to meet your needs exactly.

I always suggest this:
(A) If you want a dedicated site, pay somebody to create something nice.
OR (B) If you want to go "for free", then use a free service like Blogger or WordPress.com

All this "free template" stuff will take away your time from the point of the site -- recipes.

blogger is a good blogging platform to work off you just want a simple blog. For $10 you can purchase your own url, and then use the blogger server for hosting.

That's good advice too, Blogger with $10 fee for using your own domain name.

If and when the site starts to become popular or generate income, then you can look into paying for something fancier and more advanced to your needs.

Too many people forget that content is the point of the site*. Don't lose track of that summery.

(*This DOES NOT mean you can just make any old piece of crap site -- this means to use a service like Blogger or WordPress.com to start out.)

I think you're on your way now.

Now the hard part....finding a suitable name. I have jotted down words related to food but nothing catchy is coming to mind maybe I am having a mental block. I googles for ideas and one name did spring to mind but it's already taken. Aaaarrrgghh Any ideas are most welcome...
