Solved: Advice needed - SMS facility on website
I am looking for some advice regarding a website I have built. It's a basic HTML brochure type website in Ireland. I would like to put a facility on the homepage where visitors can submit their mobile phone numbers so that I can then send out SMS/text messages to people at a later date with updates.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Without doing any research, I would think you would need a form on your site to collect the phone numbers. The script that processes that form would (or could) store the numbers in a database.

Then, when you were ready to send out SMS updates, the target numbers would be fetched from the database and away the updates go.

I would search on "SMS from website" or "send SMS message from website" or "website SMS" to see if there are solutions already available you can use.

Peace...
