well done on your first site
In my humble opinion it could be a lot better.
Not sure how it benefits left handed people but then again I am right handed.

The welcome screen is rather dull and uninviting.
The links lead to the right pages but its not so easy to get back to the home page.
I have read that you are aware that it does need work so..so far so good.
I bet its completely different this time next month
Marks out of 10 ? ....drum roll......2

Well I didnt think I was going to get 8 or 9 our of 10. But thank you for reviewing the site. Alot of the things for the site have been learned with trial and error and some "creative" language in there.

All you've really done is use templates that I can see.

Consider fixed width, not fluid.

Skin phpBB.
Do what you can to hide the phpBB branding, to avoid being a hack/spam target.

Same for WordPress.
At least you picked a non-default theme to start with.

Forum, blog and main site should match or complement -- not look like 3 sites smushed into one.

I would say there's not even a "site" there -- just some test base code.
Therefore nothing to review yet.

Good luck!

I dont doubt that and as they say, Rome was not built in a night. I am not looking to do this as a profession but something to relax and have fun with. I am sorry if I came across wrongly.

I like the look of your blog pages the best, they look as though they are not as dated as the main pages. By dated I mean it looks like it was made using frames and it just looks kinda early 2000's. But your blog has more of the clean and modern look to it.

Don't stress about not knowing everything, just have fun and make your site. One day you will be cruising the web and see somthing someone else did that you like, and then you go and learn to do that and incorporate it into your design. I have a site that I work on, and I keep the data so that I can look back and laugh at what I thought was cool or good looking, and I promise that you will look back one day at the site you made and will laugh. But that is okay, cause it shows that you have learned something in that time, and hopefully you will always look back and laugh at your old work, and remember how you thought it was sooooooo cool how you got that button to look glassy and change colors when you moused over it.

Sorry, I am rambling on, but I hate to see someone who is trying to learn something and is not getting encouraged. I think that there is room forr some improvement, but I don't think that it crap, and you don't need a degree in graphics design to do it.

Now that that is out of the way, what are you using to develope your site? Dreamweaver? Notepad? Templates provided by your hosting company?

I have been working on it more since my last post. You are right, it is a learning experience. There are many days of trying a change, upload and go %^#%^#%^ it didn't work and back to the drawing board.

I am using RVBuilder currently. I originally made a very generic homepage in HTML but then realized it was easier for now to use a WYSIWYG editor and then go back and make changes to the code.

Thank you for the words of encouragement and hopefully one day it will be a neat site for people to hang out on.
