Since I have been back to China I can't receive e-mails on my thunderbird account. I can send my settings are correct. Strangely in the early morning I will receive some e-mails and than it stops and no more threw out the day.
Please help

Sounds like your ISP is having trouble.

any suggestions on how to fix that? I'm not at all tech savvy but going a bit crazy with this. thanks....

If it's your ISP then they will have to fix it.

Now one thing you can do and not sure if it will help but if you have a online email account with your ISP and guess you do because most do. Then you can use the online web base to see if you can see your mail. Then your know when you got the mail. Then you see mail open TB and download it and see if you can.

Other things to do is see if your ISP has a Status page that shows any trouble they are having. Not all will show this but some do.
And calling your ISP about the trouble. Take notes to tell them that it work but only around these times and the rest of the day it does not.
This showes it does work so your setting are right.
Shows that they have trouble in some way like over load and your only getting in because less people are using that mail server at that time and that is why you can get your mail.

Are you in China?
Do you get really slow page loads and up and down speeds on the email?
