Videos utilizing the adobe flash plugin in firefox have two thirds of the video (starting from the bottom) overlayed with what appears to be the green and magenta colors of the top third of the video (there is a little bit of overlap) the top third of the video appears normal, maybe a little more blue than usual but for the most part normal.

Occurs in the live feeds of twitch.tv and youtube.com if I full screen the video in youtube it appears normal, but this does not happen on twitch.tv

Restarted system, no difference. Everything appears to be up-to-date.

Took my laptop to my university's tech support for a hardware display issue, received a new laptop frame (same HDD/Battery different everything else) though I don't think this is the problem. They also installed a display driver "Quadro Notebook Driver Release 295".

Any help would be much appreciated.

Almost forgot, issue does not exist on chrome

Chrome does not normally use the Flash plugin used by most browsers but has a 'built in' version which updates when Chrome does. The latest 'normal' version is 11.3.300.268 so, if you are allowed to update the university's laptop, you could try installing the current version following the advice here; http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/...r-windows.html

There is an even newer version issued today (11.3.300.270) but it is to fix a specific issue with the automatic updater and you don't need to install it unless you have actually experienced the problem; http://forums.adobe.com/message/4594596#4594596

Right-click inside a running video and select Settings...

Once in there, select the Display tab and uncheck the "Enable hardware acceleration" box:




Might be worth a try.

@TOGG Installed .268 no change, mentioned chrome so that there was no question that the problem was limited to firefox.
