stuttering streamed content and hanging webpages
Hi,

I am having issues with streamed content of all types; youtube, soundcloud, skygo etc. All streamed media is stuttering randomly and very frequently. By stuttering I mean the content stops playing/buffering completely requiring a page refresh to resume the streaming. This happens as frequently as every 10 seconds!

Internet speed aren't the issue here; 20Mb download and 1Mb upload.

I'm using the latest version of google chrome on a windows 8 machine. The laptop is a 3rd gen i5 processor with 6GB ram and 700Gb HDD (Dell 15R SE). I have tried using firefox, safari and even IE and all experience the same problems.

I thought dropped packets might have been the problem but left my machine pinging google over night and with over 25K pings only 14 didn't return.

Can anyone suggest the root of the problem? any help would be greatly appreciated!
