Adobe Flash and Javascript for IE 8
I rarely use IE 8 but when I do I normally do not have specific problems with it except for a recurring message every time I try to access Speedtest.net. There I get the message
"Speedtest.net requires Flash
You must have Adobe Flash installed and JavaScript enabled to use Speedtest.net.
We recommend using Google Chrome which includes both by default."

I have Adobe Flash Player 12 Plug-In and Adobe Flash Player ActiveX installed and Javascript seems to work on other websites. Is there some setting I have missed. Incidentally I do not get this message when accessing Speedtest.net with SeaMonkey, Safari, or Opera.

My system:
