Internet Explorer Error - page not available
Hi

Sometimes when loading internet explorer i get the message
"web page offline or unavailable" when trying to loading my opening page(yahoo) (and the page will not load.)
I don't understand this because i can load the same page(web address) on a different computer with no problems at the same time. So it's obviously just my comp.
Sometimes clearing out the internet explorer temp internet files fixes this but not all the time.
Why am i getting a "offline / not available" web page message for a page that is obviously available. I have not changed any settings on my computer .
Any help or suggestions MUCH APPRECIATED THANKYOU!!!

i suppose u have a dialup connection?

open Internet explorer(IE)->click on the File menu->see if you have a check mart next to "Work Offline"->if you do,Click on it to remove the check mark.->now try going to yahoooo.

Obviously when you were not connected to the internet, you might have opened IE which might have asked you whether you would like to go online and pulled up your ISP logon screen.

you could try this and see if it helps.Open IE again->click on tools->internet options->click on connection tab->below the dialup settings box CHECK the option "never dial a connection"->apply->ok.
