My IE Toolbar keeps changing!
Hi everyone. First of all, I'd just like to let you all know that I am 99% certain that spyware is not causing this problem. I scan every day with my Webroot Spysweeper scanner and often with Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy. I also use Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard as prevention measures so it is relatively unlikely that I have any spyware causing this problem. I scanned earlier today and no spyware was detected by the way.

Ok, now to describe my problem. I have IE 6 set to not display the links button on the toolbar and to display the Norton Internet Security Web Assistant instead. However, IE keeps changing it back. It keeps putting the Links button back on and removing my Web Assistant. Supposedly the IE toolbar is "locked" as it says when I right click on it to change the toolbar back to what I want it to go to but it changes back anyway. What can I do to fix this? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest that SpywareGuard is on duty, and preventing the changes from sticking....
I've had to shut it down sometimes to get things done. Try it> it may pop up a message as to what you want to keep or save the old setting.
