Internet Explorer window keeps closing on its own
My Internet Explorer window on my laptop will come up and then immediately shut down. This just started. I haven't noticed any other problems with the computer --- OTHER THAN I know it needs more memory (but this is an old problem, and IE just started acting weird today). Any idea what might be the problem with IE, and what can I do to fix it? Also, can I install a memory card in my laptop rather than opening the case? Hope I haven't confused the issue here. Thanks for any reply!

As for the memory, look at the bottom to see if you have a removable panel for the memory. If not, then it could get tricky.

Thanks for your reply.
There is a slot on the side where a wireless internet card goes. Can the same slot be used for memory card?
Thanks

Its probably your Yahoo toolbar
Hi, I just posted about this problem this morning.

Someone told me to remove the yahoo toolbar - it worked!

If you have it, just remove it and that should solve the problem.

My daughter had the same problem last night with IE. We ran System Restore, ran Spybot, Adaware and did a virus scan. Nothing helped. But she did have Internet connectivity thru Windows Messenger, so she downloaded Mozilla and could then access web pages. When she went to sleep lat night, still couldn't access IE. This morning when she got on everything was fine. What was going on?
