Firefox 2 and IE 7 issue
Hey everyone, I have firefox 2 and ie7. This just started recently, but when I try to open either of them, these errors pop up.

firefox:
The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\softokn3.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

ie7:
The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbsys.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

IE7 will open eventually, but firefox won't. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks!

have you tried a clean reinstall of firefox? or making sure you're staying on top of windows updates? other than that maybe a virus, try getting AVG Anti-virus free edition (free.grisoft.com) and running a scan.

Yes, I have, and I've run scans in Ad-Aware and Kaspersky.
I just found out that it seems to happen whenever two accounts are logged in and the other uses firefox or ie. When I log out of that account, the problem starts in mine.

Exclamation Mozilla Firefox\softokn3.dll is not a valid Windows image
I have exactly the same problem. At the same time I also developed a problem when loading "Word" that said MSO9.dll is not a valid Windows image.

I suspect it has to do either with the fact that I have recently been blocking many things from going thorugh because the Kaspersky "Integrity" section is checked, so maybe Microsoft is doing that because they are upset they can't snoop as easily.

Haven't yet tried to uncheck this because I also just recently discovered the

deleted: malware HackTool.Win32.Delf.fy

file from my computer that could also have caused it. Although that is now removed, it could be that it's more than just a hack tool. Could be a bad trojan.

Update on Those Problems
Yes, that solved the problem. If you're using Kaspersky Internet Security, and under Proactive, you have the ENABLE APPLICATION INTEGRITY CONTROL button checked off, you will get those problems in both Mozilla and Word.

The only way to make them work again is to uncheck it.

The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbsys.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

Odds are your running Kaspersky Here's the fix
Open Settings, Click Service. On the right side you'll see Configuration Manager. Click RESET and go through the steps to reconfigure your settings. NOW ALL WILL BE WELL!!!
