[Help Plz]

Hi there...I'm not real knowledgeable about computer so I'm hoping someone can help me out. About 4 weeks ago, out of the blue, the internet started crawling on my home PC...it took minutes for pages to load. After doing a little research I download a couple of different spyware programs, found some things on the computer that shouldn't have been there and removed them. It didn't appear to be anything high risk (I currently use Webroot Spy Sweeper). The problem was still there so I took my computer in to Best Buy to get checked out. They said they removed 30 or so running processes and fixed up my registry but didn't find anything else in the way of Spyware or Malware or anything. As of now things are working much better for the most part, but I still have some sites that just take forever to load (in fact this is one of them). CNN.com took about 1:30 just now, but gmail.com took a second or two. I've tried unplugging my router and cable modem and plugging them back in. If I connect my laptop to the network it runs fine. I have a Dell XPS 400 Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 2. I have 1 GB of RAM (updating to 2 whenever it gets here). I run McAff Security Center and Spy Sweeper and occasionally AdAware. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've read that anti-spyware can miss some stuff...but aside from having the Geek Squad check it out I've run windows defender and spybot S&D too. I'd just like to get things back to how they were before all of this started. Any help is MUCH appreciated.

Be sure that your HJT log is checked by a respondent who has a 'gold shield' to the right of their name/moniker. If one does not respond here, close this Thread at "Thread Tools" using "mark solved." Then recreate a Thread at the "Security" forum. Wait at least two days for a proper response here, however.
