Using the Print Screen key
I am using Windows XP and Outlook Express. In emailing, I would often use the print screen key with a particular screenshot and add it to my email, using either Alt+PrintScreen or PrintScreen. All of a sudden now, when I attempt to Ctrl V into my email, it does not paste anything in. Nada. Anyone have any ideas??

I accessed that and it appears to be copying the screenshot fine. I discovered I can paste it into Microsoft Paint and then send as an attachment as well as pasting it into a Microsoft Works word document, but for some reason it just will NOT paste into an email, and I've tried using both my Charter email address through Outlook Express as well as web-based Hotmail account.

With my office computer and, up until a couple weeks ago, with my home computer, all I've ever had to do was just paste the screenshot directly into the email, without using an attachment so the extra steps using Paint seem pretty tedious now. Thanks though.

Cure for Print Screen problem??
I was having the same problem only it would paste the red X for the picture file not supported.... I am using Outlook 2003. This may or may not help you but its worth a try.

I went to the Tools>Options and under Mail Format you can do the following:

1. Change the email format from HTML to Rich Text and it would allow the Print Screen function to work but it screwed up my signature block.

2. Check the boxes to use Microsoft Word as the email editor/ reader and it allowed it to paste for me also.

I personally prefer the HTML format so I opted for the #2 choice and it is working fine.

I hope this helps!

Outlook has to be set to HTML format in order to paste screen shots into it. Otherwise you have to attach them.
