I called verizon my IP and with them online fixed the email accounts and the IE settings also. one of my two email accounts was not showing up so we reset all of that.
Found out one of the problems, that before the last couple weeks, wasn't causing me troubles, but I guess was now it was. This was that the phone line had a splitter on it for dsl and telephone. She told me to pull the phone off the line, get a second jack put in so that the dsl and phone were each connected directly into separate jacks.
This jack is in a home office setting, so for a few days this space will just have the office line and not the home line up.
I set installation appt with them for this but in the interim, the net is running at normal speed again, as long as i dont connect the splitter. |
