OE Problems
Question 1. I recently installed OE on a newer computer. Everytime I start OE I have to login with the password for my account. I have gone to Tools, Accounts, Properties, Servers and made sure the user name and password were entered correctly and saved the changes, etc. However, the next time OE starts it askes for the password. If I go to the accounts screen again the password line is blank and I have to start over again.
What is removing the password or preventing it from being remembered?

2. For a short time (2 weeks) I was using a laptop to check my mail and send messages. Once I got my newer desktop system I copied my DBX files from my previous (old) desktop to the new computer. OE recognizes all of the old dbx files from the old computer. However, I did quite a bit of correspondance with the laptop during a 2 week period of time and I can't figure how to add the laptop files (sent messages, etc.) to the new computer. I tried copying the sent messages dbx from the laptop to the new computer but it replaced the sent messages brought forward from my old computer. How can I have both the old desktop files and the laptop files available?

Tools<Accounts<Select account in question<Properties<Servers Tab:

Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password Authentication is checked" and make sure that "Remember Password" is checked.

Copy the entire Message Store folder (being sure to include the Folders.dbx) from the laptop to the Desktop of the new PC.
Then open OE and Import using the copy of the message store folder on the Desktop as the file source. Everything should merge into OE on the new computer.

That clearly solves the syncing of the "messages sent" problems - Thanks
However I have done the ""Log on using Secure Password Authentication is checked" and make sure that "Remember Password" is checked." -but each time I restart the problem I encounter the password requirement. I am trying the free version of "AVG" for a change - could it prevent saving my changes?

These settings are from Iglou support.

Your incoming mail server is: pop.iglou.com
Your outgoing mail server is: smtp.iglou.com

"Log on using Secure Password Authentication" should be Unchecked
Place a check next to "My server requires authentication". Click the Settings button.
Select the "Log on using" option and enter your E-Mail address and password where indicated. (this is the outgoing mail server box).
