Solved: IE6 loads slow
I am having trouble with internet explore 6 loading. I am using windows 2000. I have updated ie6. I have scanned for virus with avg, I have scanned with spybot. I have deleted temporary files. When I click on ie6 it loads google, but I cannot do any thing for about 1 1/2 minutes. I have timed it and it take right at that range. It acts like it is looking for something. After it loads it works fine. I can click on links, search and anything else at a normal speed, but if I close it out and load it again I have to wait. Any help please?
Thanks

Hi also clean out history etc.
In Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options
General tab.
Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
Include all offline content.
Delete Cookies.
Under History
Click Clear History.
Under Programs>Reset Web settings.

Add-ons.
Programs Tab>Manage Add-Ons>Disable all.
Re-enable them one-by-one you may see which could be causing the problem.

IE fix. will reregister IE core files.

Try changing home page and see if it loads faster.
