Firefox probelm or something more?
Recently, the family has been looking for a new home, we are mainly using www.realestate.com.au and it seems firefox has been hijacked, i thought of posting here first to see if its a firefox fault or problem, the browser opens up new windows to preview the photos, and it seems to just explode, the window opens itself continuously about 1 window/second fighting it to close is difficult as it keeps opening windows, bringing up task manager doesn't help. also the bowser seems to flicker and re-size continuously until the windows are under control, also another thing to note is that Firefox wants to update, and i let it, it runs but says it cannot then do it manually.... tried to but still no changes were made and every time i open it, it still nags me... once again, im posting this here before the security forums, as im not too sure if its a web browser problem or not.

Which version of Firefox are you using and on which platform? Also, can you post a link to a page where you click the photo and then the strangeness happens? I was able to view this listing just fine and was able to view some of the larger photos ok. I used Firefox 3 on Windows XP.

Peace...

Im using firefox 2 still as ive heard there are a few problems with 3, its just at random listings and random times, but ti is when you click "more images" or the images themselves. I will try to post a screenshot but normally the computer freezes up preatty bad. I think i will try Firefox 3 as soon as i get the time...

A link to an actual page would be better than a screenshot since with access to an actual page, we can look at the underlying coding to see what could be causing a problem.

For example, does the link I posted above work for you? Does it exhibit the behavior you describe?

Peace...

nah its 100% fine, and most of them are, its just after a while it may happen... it may not... it doesn't happen twice with the same page...(not that ive really tested it much) the only other thing out of the ordinary is that the timer besides the mouse flashes consistently and the browser slows down dramatically.

If you have any extensions installed, there might be a conflict. Run Firefox in "Safe mode" and see if the problem persists.

Peace...
